El Heroe and Heroe Jr. Poster

Here are the inks for my Heroes Con 2012 Poster. Posting the colors soon. El Heroe and Heroe Jr just seemed to make sense for some reason :D You'll be seeing them in a lot of SPKO comics next year. Talk about a "push".

Cannot wait! Heroes Con was the 3rd convention I ever attended (after MegaCon and Otakon) so it's crazy that I've somehow managed to become a "guest". This 10 year comic journey is surely paying off slowly but surely. I'll also be on the Manga Influenced Artist panel that Sunday at 3:30pm. Should be fun. It's the first time I've tabled in a minute so I'll have these posters along with both volumes of Super Pro KO and some minis. Come by and see some secret SPKO 3 pages I'm sure my editor will hate that I have out :D

Okay. Gotta run. Deadline Sunday for another SPKO project. It's not a game!

SPKO 3 & SPKO Webcomic Sneak Peeks

Here's a sneak peek at Elicity and Jessica in SPKO 3. They're pretty much all over this volume causing a ruckus.

If I had the time I'd really like to do a comic all about the women of SPKO. I think it would be pretty fun to focus on them for at least one book. But that's the thing with SPKO, I always have ideas for all sorts of crazy storylines and special stories.

I've been really busy lately. I'll be at Heroes Convention in Charlotte in 3 weeks so I've been working on a pretty neat poster for the show. It's awesome and I can't wait to post the finished colored version on here! I'm also juggling SPKO 3 with the SPKO Webcomic (Codename: Project Heroe) I'm launching next year too. I'm literally working on 2 books at once which is a little bananas. Sometimes, I'll inlcude something in one comic that's supposed to be in the other so I'm constantly spot-checking things. Anyway, here's a very small peek at the SPKO webcomic straight from my wall.

At least you get to see a few of the players in the comic (Sensational Sike, Joe Somiano, El Heroe, and El Heroe Jr.) I'll have more pages to show in the next couple of months. The web-comic ties in perfectly with SPKO volumes 1-3. I'm really excited to see how everyone responds to it :D

SPKO 3 Deskshot: Party Time! and Miami Pics

As customary for each volume of SPKO, there's usually at least one party scene. This time, it's really over the top! It starts off as sort of a throwback to Motown with King Crown Jr., El Heroe, Joe Somiano, and Sensational Sike. I love how it feels like the characters are actually dancing around. Joe's really belting out his verse!Here's a peek:

And here's a pic side by side with a previous page I revealed so you can begin to see the page flow. 

I love how the final panel on page 1 (with the four fists) transitions into the dance sequence on the next page. I usually draw pages side by side like this in order to work on the page flows. There's a real art to transitions that I want to perfect with each Super Pro book.

It helped that I had a chance to spend a week in Miami to wind down. It was my first vacation in 3 years and I really think it gave me a recharge moving forward. Here's some pics from the trip:

So that's all for now. I'll have more SPKO 3 panels and stuff here next week. I'm really inking the heck out of this thing now. Plus I have some really cool projects lined up too. One's with Adam Warrock and there's another level 5 top secret. Good things are really happening.

SPKO 3 Deskshot: Butch O' Rowdy Action Figure!

Here's an inked snippet from SPKO 3. This time it's a Butch O' Rowdy action figure. And Toy Butch is yelling the same words Butch threatened Mr Info with in SPKO 2.

SPKO 3: Gold for Glory! is really shaping up to be the best yet :D
